“Setting the pace . . . ”

Image provided by jscreationzs You can buy shoes most anywhere. So what you are really paying for is service. Pace Setter Athletic is "setting the pace" for customer service.

No Price Jacking

Compare pricing. All our shoes are priced at Manufacturers Suggested Retail. Pace Setter does not increase shoe prices in order to cover loyalty discounts or special sale events.

So I sprained my left knee about six weeks ago, and I just now realize that my aged walking shoes might be part of the problem.

It's amazing how distracted I've been lately.

As always, the folks at Pace Setter were helpful and attentive. They pointed out where the structure of my old shoes had finally failed from overuse -- make sure you bring your old shoes with you when you come to Pace Setter! -- and explained how the model of shoe they recommended was sturdier at those points of failure.

Allow me to close this review with a plea: Folks, if you walk a lot, do not go 18 months between buying new walking shoes. Just do not do it. Go to Pace Setter every six months, bring $100 for the shoes, and let them take care of you.

Great place if you are a veteran runner or a beginner. They will watch you run and then find a shoe that fits your individual running style.

True Visual Bi-Directional Gait Analysis

We use a true visual bi-directional gait analysis in each style you try on to determine your level of pronation or supination which narrows the category of shoes appropriate for you.

Running Form Analysis

Meet Jeff Kline and get your free running form analysis.  A limited analysis is available during your shoe fitting.  Get a more indepth analysis with your own personalized 30 minute appointment.  Call the store to schedule your Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday appointment with Jeff Kline today.

No gimmicks or high-tech equipment. Just a lot of knowledge and experience.

Shoe Review

Please bring your old shoes with you to a fitting. Through analyzing the wear patterns of the tread and upper on your old shoes, evaluating the shape of your foot and arch as well as conducting a walk/run gait analysis, we will be able to properly fit you in new walking or running shoes.
