Established in 1981, "The Original Pace Setter Athletic" is the technical running store that other northwest running stores are modeled after. Founded and operated to this day by active, competitive runners, our mission statement is, “We do our personal best to fit you in the right shoe.”

You may expect from us a hands-on approach to customer service that will not be duplicated by other retailers.

Please bring your old shoes with you to a fitting. Through analyzing the wear patterns of the tread and upper on your old shoes, as well as conducting a walk/run test, we will be able to properly fit you in a new walking or running shoe.

The fit of any athletic shoe is broken down into three parts:

FUNCTION: The mechanics of shoes vary greatly by model,

we will be able to match your gait and stride with a shoe made for you.

FIT: The right model and size should fit perfectly,

not just width and length, but also arch extension and heel counter motion.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION: You'll know you're in the right shoe.
