Established in 1981, "The Original Pace Setter Athletic" is the technical running store that other northwest running stores are modeled after. Founded and operated to this day by active, competitive runners, we do our personal best to fit you in the right shoe. But that's not all. We will also ask about your related pain issues and recommend simple doctor approved self treatments that you may find helpful. Proper stretching and massage can relieve many issues caused from old worn out shoes or over use. (As always, check with your physician before embarking on a new regimen.)
We are a small Mom and Pop store dedicated to serving you. No gimmicks or tricks. Just simple, honest, logical, common-sense analysis for your needs and the best customer service you will find anywhere.

Please bring your old shoes with you to a fitting. Through analyzing the wear patterns of the tread and upper on your old shoes, evaluating the shape of your foot and arch as well as conducting a walk/run gait analysis, we will be able to properly fit you in new walking or running shoes.
We use a true visual bi-directional gait analysis in each style you try on to determine your level of pronation or supponation which narrows the category of shoes appropriate for you. No gimmicks or high-tech equipment. Just a lot of knowledge and experience.
Customer Satisfaction
If you are not completely satisfied with your shoe selection you may exchange or return your shoes in pristine condition within 30 days with your receipt.
